Screening of the documentary Most Likely to Succeed
May 16 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Acton Academy is hosting a screening of Most Likely to Succeed.  About the film:

“Most Likely To Succeed is the best film ever done on the topic of school — both its past and its future. The film inspires its audiences with a sense of purpose and possibility, and is bringing school communities together in re-imagining what our students and teachers are capable of doing. Run, don’t walk, to bring this film to your school. After seeing this film, you’ll never look at school the same way again.”

Mindful Parenting
Feb 11 @ 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

Mindful Parenting: A workshop on meditation, tools, and resources to cultivate a mindful parenting practice
Description: Shannon Salentine is a parent, leadership coach, and global program director. Over the last five years Shannon and her husband have been cultivating a spiritual practice for their family that is aligned with their values, the developmental stages of their children, and what feels right. In this effort, Shannon’s family discovered a community of parents dedicated to practicing mindfulness. Through this community and her own self-immersion, Shannon developed a strong appreciation for the tools mindfulness offers parents and a practice that serves her daily.

Join Shannon as she shares how meditation and various mindfulness resources have helped her as a parent. During the workshop we’ll talk (and practice) mediation and discuss the integration of mindfulness into family life. You’ll come away from this workshop with examples of mindfulness tools and some practice in using them!

This event is free to the community.

Please RSVP via our contact form.
